The course provides residential and commercial AV installers with the knowledge and tools necessary to reduce, diagnose and resolve HDMI interoperability problems. The course covers basic HDMI anatomy and terminology and details of the HDMI connection sequence where most of the interoperability problems exhibit themselves.
Attendees will learn how to identify the symptoms of common HDMI interoperability problems and correlate these symptoms to possible causes involving hot plug, EDID, HDCP etc. Sample interoperability cases—based on failures encountered in the field—are provided to ensure that participants understand the appropriate diagnostic procedures. Attendees are provided with commercially available test instruments that are used in the sample diagnostic cases to follow along with the instructor thereby reinforcing their understanding of the procedures.
The information and tools presented in the course are invaluable for elite AV installers wishing to gain knowledge of HDMI interoperability and to make the transition from an HDMI “hobbyist” to an HDMI “expert”.
